Ladies and Gentlemen.
Prof. George Barbalias was born in Athens.
He graduated from the Medical School of the National University of Athens in 1968, and got his PhD in 1977.
He worked in the States from 1968, serving in several positions one of which was as Director of Urodynamics at New England Medical centre, in Boston.
Among his many titles, was that of Adjunct Professor of Urology at the Tufts University, School of Medicine.
George Barbalias was Professor of Urology at the Medical school both of Patras and Athens University from 1984 – 2006
A distinguished expert in the world of medicine, he has been a Urologist educator and clinician, while he has also contributed numerous publications to Urology literature.
Having taught for years, he has won teaching awards from different medical schools and the National Associations for Academic Urology.
He is nationally known in the areas of Urodynamics and Female Urology and his is the FATHER of the Hellenic Section of Neurology Urodynamics and Female urology, which was established in his tome.
For his great experience as a teacher and his scientific offering, he is placed among the most distinguished members of the Urological society.
